Accessibility Statement
CoolerEscapes.com aims to make its destination research, maps, tables and policy pages usable by as many people as reasonably possible.
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Our Approach
We aim for clear headings, readable contrast, keyboard-accessible controls, descriptive link text, responsive layouts and content that can be enlarged without losing essential information. We use semantic HTML where practical and try to avoid relying on color alone to communicate meaning.
Maps, Tables and Interactive Content
Maps and score interfaces can be harder to use with some assistive technologies. Important route names, values and cautions should also appear as text outside the map. Wide tables should remain horizontally scrollable on small screens, and interactive controls should have visible focus and understandable labels.
Known Limitations
Some third-party maps, embedded tools, consent interfaces, forms or externally loaded resources may not provide the same level of accessibility as the surrounding page. Older content may also contain controls or layouts that need improvement.
Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility
The site is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and commonly used assistive technologies. Very old browsers, aggressive script blocking or unavailable third-party services may limit some features.
Requesting Help or an Alternative Format
If a map, table, form, score explanation or page is difficult to use, contact us with:
- The full page URL.
- The content or control causing difficulty.
- Your browser, device and assistive technology, if you are comfortable sharing them.
- The format or outcome that would help.
Accessibility feedback can be submitted through the Contact page.
Feedback and Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Specific reports are reviewed alongside technical feasibility, content priority and available resources. We welcome feedback that helps identify a barrier rather than only describing a general preference.
Third-Party Content
External websites linked from CoolerEscapes.com are controlled by their respective operators. Accessibility concerns on those sites should also be reported to the relevant provider.
